My wife and I were lucky enough to travel to Zurich to shoot a travel show for LOGO online. We had first class accommodations and a fantastic dinner at the vegetarian restaurant, Hiltl. The ambiance and the vibe of the restaurant was so inviting, and the tremendous smell from the food encircled the inside and outside of the establishment. My wife and I partook of the beautiful buffet, enjoyed a wide selection of Indian food and wine and held hands during dinner. It was a magical night.

What I appreciate most about San Francisco is the incredible diversity of people. Our city is not only visually spectacular, but the people are generally sophisticated and open to a discovery of new possibilities.

What are some of your least favorite things?
What makes it difficult to live in San Francisco is the fact that one needs to work so much to have resources necessary to truly enjoy all that the city offers. So when not working and really geared up to have a new San Francisco experience, you can not depend on it being a warm and sunny day. Any other day, I appreciate the fog and other aspects of the micro-climates…sometimes, though, I secretly want a little bit more sunshine!

What is your favorite city in the U.S.?

My favorite city is a split between New Orleans and San Francisco, because I think that right now the city that I live in, New York, suffers from increased globalization. It's really hard to find a present or something unique that you can't get here. But what's amazing about New Orleans and San Francisco is that both have a really mythical quality. They're rough around the edges, bogged down by a sense of melancholy, but magical. There's no other place like them in the world. While New York is fabulous, it's big block stores and generic Williams Sonomas, so I really appreciate those cities that  champion small businesses. There's a unique culture and people and sense of magic in the air.

A Swedish model whom I had a huge crush on took me out on his family's speed boat for a perfect summer day. We zoomed all around the city center - easy to do since Stockholm sits on an archipelago made up of many little islands - and we docked at an old historic glass factory and saw traditional Swedish glass being hand blown. After that we docked at a park right in the middle of the city where everyone jumps off rocks or the wooden pier into the water au' natural (yes right in the middle of the city!)

I grew up in Tel Aviv, so for me it’s about my family and my friends, growing up there and all the great times that I had during my childhood years.   But it’s the freedom to do whatever you’d like that I love too.  I truly think it is one of the best cities in the world – small, but yet you can find anything here:  crazy night life, awesome beaches, cute sidewalk cafes, great restaurants, history, and beautiful people, and there’s a feeling in the air that I couldn’t even begin to explain.  The city is open 24/7, and there is always some exciting adventure waiting around any corner for those who want to find it.
