Do you have a great memory of a date that relates to you car?

I once picked up a guy for our very first, face to face, dinner date on a warm summer evening in a black 1980 Corvette L-82 four-speed.  Upon opening the driver's side door he leaned in and said, "What am I getting myself into here?  You obey the speed limit right?"  Once he buckled up, I gunned the motor several times to the roar of the exhaust, turned to him, cracked a 3 mile smile behind a pair of dark Ray bans and simply said "Relax honey...let me do the driving", dropped the clutch at 2,100 r.p.m. and smoked the tires.  He called the next morning explaining what a great time he had and wondered if I was available the following evening.

What is the best thing that you like about your ride?  

The sheer Horse Power and total paparazzi effect at stop signs and red lights.

Do you like tinkering under the hood, or do you leave repairs and routine maintenance to your mechanic?

I'm more than handy with a torque wrench!  "Christine" doesn't like to be touched by strangers.

What special touches have you added to your car that reflect your personality and individuality?

Fingerless black leather gloves!

What is the most you’ve ever paid for a car?  What is the most you would ever pay for a car?

 Do you find yourself more attracted to people with similar car tastes to your own?  Or doesn’t it matter?

There is nothing better after really hot sex than comparing engine specifications!  Much better than a cigarette!

If you had an unlimited budget and could change anything you wanted on your car, what modifications or accessories would you add?

Dump a leer-jet engine into my 1971 Corvette Stingray.

Do you think your car has a personality or soul? What kind of sound or behavior does it have that makes it unmistakably your car?

Christine definitely has a soul.  She is pure evil.

Have you upgraded the car stereo? What is your "dream" sound system?

No. The car came with a factory Bose/Gold 275 watt sound system with separate amplifiers in all the speakers.  The neighbors love it.

What aspect of your ride most attracted you when you decided to own and drive it?

The looks, performance and the fact it's the most fun thing you can do by yourself.

Have you ever pushed your car to its performance limit? What was the fastest speed?

As long as you don't tell my mom, the answer is "yes".  I have had the car up to 155 m.p.h. The top speed is 165 m.p.h

Are you a member of any car clubs or other auto related organizations?

Sea Coast Corvettes.

What was the first car you ever had? Do you ever get nostalgic for it?

A 1971 Chevelle 396-SS with Cowl induction hood.  The car was stolen back in 1985 and I still cry hysterically over it to this day in my weekly sessions with my therapist.  He claims I'm making progress.

If you could trade your ride in for any other car, what would it be, regardless of the price?

A new Corvette ZR-1!
