What was the last vacation you took? Where did you go and where do you most want to go?

Oh man, my last family vacation, we went to Winnipeg, Manitoba when i was around 6. I would love to check out the Pacific Northwest.

Are any famous people from Aberdeen?

L. Frank Baum (wrote The Wizard of Oz),  Tom Daschle (former senate majority leader), Joseph Hansen (gay mystery writer who helped found the first pride parade in Hollywood in 1970.)

What are some of the things you love most about your town?

Its big enough so there's something to do, but small enough to retain its friendly atmosphere.

If someone came to your town for just four hours, what is the one thing he should do?

Go boy-watching at the water park!

What are some great restaurants for a night out with gay friends?

Marlin's... a typical truck stop but its open 24/7 and its great to relax with a cup of coffee and chat the night away.

What are some great restaurants for a romantic gay date? What about these restaurants appeals to you?

The Flame (a steakhouse on Main Street.) Very romantic atmosphere and good food.

What are your favorite gay bars and/or dance clubs?

Oh sweetie, there ARE no gay bars or danceclubs.

What is the gay community like there? Do you consider yourself to be part of any particular "scene?"

Very small, full of closet cases, but a few out people.

Where do you shop for clothes?

Target (I ain't no stuck up Abercrombie queer.)

Where do you go for other forms of entertainment -- live theater, concerts, movies, art exhibits? Are there any local gay performance groups, bands, or artists that you're a fan of?

The Red Rooster Coffee House -- awesome little gay-friendly place on Main St. that hosts live bands about every week.

If you had gay friends visiting from out of town for the first time, what are some "must-dos" you'd recommend?

Check out a show at the Rooster, catch a movie at the mall, go bowling at the alley, and grab a cup of coffee at 3am at the local truck stop

Where do the hot boys in your town tend to hang out?

My bedroom (haha)  umm... The Red Rooster Coffee House.  Its pretty much the cultural center of Aberdeen.
