Are any famous people from your town?

Yep we've got NHL hockey, CFL football and so much more. Remember, "Brokeback Mountain" was made in this area.

What are some of the things you love most about your town?

An hour to the mountains...a very dynamic and inclusive city.

If someone came to your town for just four hours, what is the one thing he should do?

Not enough time for the town, so 4 hours could give us time to talk about what he's missing.

What are some great restaurants for a night out with gay friends?

Any in the beltline or core. Classic Jacks on 17th, but there are so many others.

What are your favorite gay bars and/or dance clubs?

Calgary Eagle ... great for leather, denim and more ... Then, there's the Backlot where anything can happen and I can attest to it that much does happen.

What are your favorite gay parties or events in your town? What is the crowd or scene like at those places?

We have an awesome gay rodeo happening every year. Save a horse ride a cowboy, or a spectator or a media type or ...

Where is the best public place for a gay person to make out there?

Gosh... anywhere. I'm a bit embarassed to say, but a special guy and myself did much in many places.

Stephen2What is the gay community like there? Do you consider yourself to be part of any particular "scene?"

Not overly part of the scene. The gay community is very compartmentalized. All aspects of the social specrum from ranchers, cowboys, high class business types, pretty and preppys and so much more. We just don't all go to the same place.

Where do you shop for clothes?

Lammles is a western wear store. The Bay, Gap, Holt Renfrew ... wherever I am when the need is there.

If you had gay friends visiting from out of town for the first time, what are some "must-dos" you'd recommend?

Visit the mountains, Banff hotsprings, Kananaskis Country, Drumheller ...

Is there a local cocktail that's popular in your town?

Not exactly a cocktail, but a shot or two of Jagermeister gets the shirt off pretty quick.

If you had to describe the "average gay boy" style of your town in two words, what would they be?

Down-to-earth (the hyphens make it one word), friendly.

Do you have any local celebs?

Yep sports, musical, theatrical and a porn star.

Stephen3What bar has the cutest/hottest bartenders?

Calgary Eagle...no the Backlot...no...the Eagle!

Do gay men and lesbians hang out together in your town or is that just unheard of?

Yep. "Moneypennies" is a bar that has a regular grouping of both gay and lesbian patrons. We git along just fine thank you kindly.

What was the last vacation you took? Where did you go? Where do you most want to go?

Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper. Mountains move me.

I'm not sure on the gay scene. I have never seen it, but I have seen the canadian rockiew, and I was in heaven believe me. It was a 360 degree look no matter where you were. Totally the most ultimate place I have ever been. I went there twice. It is my heaven beleave me. Wished I knew someone there. Poor little me with a big hard on with no one to share it with. It was such a shame. Oh well, maybe someday.
