Mobile Boy: Eric

Gay.com member Eric wrote to us asking for some travel advice. He said he was heading to Orlando for the first time and wanted some tips on local hot spots.

Can you help this mobile boy out?

Here's what Eric's looking for, in his own words:

"I've never been in Orlando before (or Florida, for that matter), so I'd like to know if there's a "gayborhood" or a district that's more gay-friendly. I'm staying at the Marriott World Center Resort down by Epcot Center. I'll be in Orlando from Oct. 12 through Oct. 17.

Where are the best nightclubs? Is there a great coffeehouse for chilling out in the afternoon? Is there a can't-miss-this landmark that begs to be seen or an if-you-don't-see-this-you'll-kick-yourself art exhibit? What about the best night to see an awesome drag show?

I know there's a Pride parade Sunday, Oct. 12, that I might just get to see if the plane arrives on time (fingers crossed), but is there anything else going on that week that celebrates Pride? Where's the best place just to hang out and meet new people that could hopefully become new friends even after I return home?"
